Trip itinerary for Pumamarca trek
First day: Cusco – Pumamarca – Aguas Calientes
In the morning of Pumamarca trek you will be picked up in Cusco at 6:00am. We then drive by car for 2 hours to Ollantaytambo town, where you can buy breakfast. From here we will ascend along the Patacancha Valley to reach the trail-head of Pumamarca hike. A short uphill hike will let us to reach out the beautiful ruins of Pumamarca. Where the guide will show us the most important structures of this charming site.
After to explore this magnificent site. You will start hiking through the picturesque trail. This beautiful Inca path goes all the way to Ollantaytambo town. Where you have chance to walk around it. After lunch we will have chance to explore the town. Ollantaytambo has water channels and beautiful stone wall houses. Which are still functioning as home of the local families. In the afternoon you will have a beautiful train ride to Aguas Calientes town.

Second day: Machu Picchu – Cusco
At the scheduled time, the guide will pick you up from the hotel and lead you to the bus station. You then will have a short bus drive to the entrance of Machu Picchu. At the site there will be a short walk to the lookout. From where you take the best pictures and then you will have a guided tour. You will visit great places as the Sun temple, the Sun dial, Temple of the three windows, main temple and more.
At the appropriate time you will take the bus and return to Aguas Calientes. Later you will catch the train back to Ollantaytambo station. The journey by train is approximately 1:40 hours. Upon your arrival to the train station, our transfer will get you back to the hotel in Cusco.
